Inspired by Henry and Clem’s birthday party.
Today Harper has been with us for a year and a half. It’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone. He was just recently very sick with RSV and two ear infections. The poor guy did not eat much of anything for about 10 days.
He is a full 1 lb. 9 ounces lighter than his 16 month check-up. He was really sick. The good news is he has been recovering nicely the past several days and his appetite has returned. My fear is that my chubby little baby is gone forever…I think he’s going to be a regular toddler from here on out…no more baby!
Awww.
Anyway, time for the numbers:
He’s 26 lbs. in weight (53%), 33″ long (72%), and he has a 50.5 CM melon (98%) – still topping the charts in the big head department! Thanks Dad!
In other news…I have so, so many videos to upload. It is ridiculous. I really got behind. And I feel bad about it. He’s doing so many amazing things and he has done so many. I have been lucky to capture most of it…but I still need to remind myself to record things sometimes. It is all just moving so quickly! He is very interactive now and really smart. He loves his “noot” (Nuk) and loves making animal sounds and can name a ton of them. Most everyone he loves has a name to him. Some are pretty accurate and some are a bit off but incredibly cute, nonetheless.
He wasn’t extremely pleased with his costume – so these are the only pictures I could muster.
Today Harper went in for his 15-month check-up! He has a 50.1 CM melon (97%), he’s 27 pounds and 9 ounces in weight (86%), and he’s 32 1/4 inches in height (83%).
He now recognizes the doctor’s office and he is not happy when he is there. I brought some books along and he did a bit better. He really loves books. He will grab a book out of his basket and say “more!” and hand you the book and then sit down to have you read it to him. It’s very sweet.
I bought this for stoking the coals in my grill and the wood in my firepit…but Harper found it and loved this “game” (essentially me furiously turning the crank on the blower to really hit him with huge air) so much that I had to go hide the “AIR GRILL BLOWER” after distracting him. I was afraid I would be doing it over and over and over again!
