Back to the 50′s
February 10, 201218 Month Check-up!
January 16, 2012Today Harper has been with us for a year and a half. It’s hard to believe how fast the time has gone. He was just recently very sick with RSV and two ear infections. The poor guy did not eat much of anything for about 10 days.
He is a full 1 lb. 9 ounces lighter than his 16 month check-up. He was really sick. The good news is he has been recovering nicely the past several days and his appetite has returned. My fear is that my chubby little baby is gone forever…I think he’s going to be a regular toddler from here on out…no more baby!
Awww.
Anyway, time for the numbers:
He’s 26 lbs. in weight (53%), 33″ long (72%), and he has a 50.5 CM melon (98%) – still topping the charts in the big head department! Thanks Dad!
In other news…I have so, so many videos to upload. It is ridiculous. I really got behind. And I feel bad about it. He’s doing so many amazing things and he has done so many. I have been lucky to capture most of it…but I still need to remind myself to record things sometimes. It is all just moving so quickly! He is very interactive now and really smart. He loves his “noot” (Nuk) and loves making animal sounds and can name a ton of them. Most everyone he loves has a name to him. Some are pretty accurate and some are a bit off but incredibly cute, nonetheless.

October 31, 2011He wasn’t extremely pleased with his costume – so these are the only pictures I could muster.
15 Month Check-up!
October 17, 2011Today Harper went in for his 15-month check-up! He has a 50.1 CM melon (97%), he’s 27 pounds and 9 ounces in weight (86%), and he’s 32 1/4 inches in height (83%).
He now recognizes the doctor’s office and he is not happy when he is there. I brought some books along and he did a bit better. He really loves books. He will grab a book out of his basket and say “more!” and hand you the book and then sit down to have you read it to him. It’s very sweet.
The “AIR GRILL BLOWER” – A Revolution in Baby Toys
October 14, 2011I bought this for stoking the coals in my grill and the wood in my firepit…but Harper found it and loved this “game” (essentially me furiously turning the crank on the blower to really hit him with huge air) so much that I had to go hide the “AIR GRILL BLOWER” after distracting him. I was afraid I would be doing it over and over and over again!

September 16, 2011Here are four quick videos from today. He is walking and he is really active! I have about 3 weeks of videos I need to upload – so look for more on the genesis of his walking in the coming days.

September 15, 2011Harper and his Walker, Cat, Ball, and Grandpa
August 18, 2011I have compiled quite a few videos over the past few weeks and I’ve managed to get quite behind in posting them! Harper received a walker from the Hannons and he just loves it. He is able to tool around really well with it. He has to be quite close to walking completely on his own!

His new game is to look for me behind him and get all excited…kind of like chasing him.

We were bored one day and I bought him a big ball at Target. At least 5 minutes of hilarity ensued. So the purchase was well justified.

We also went to my Dad’s house and spent some time there with him and his dogs (Harper’s favorite!).

And last, but definitely not least, Harper meets Bill – his new cat at his Mom’s house!
